Returning to our Blog 2018
After a two-year hiatus, we are happy to return to our blog this holiday season. We hope you will follow us as we try to keep you up to date with the many happenings at Designer Gold.
We’re thrilled with our new gallery format — “Back to Our Roots,” we say. Paul exhibited only his own jewelry in his first studio. When we moved Designer Gold to the Hanover Park Building in 1990, we exhibited and sold jewelry made by other small-studio artists, most with national reputations. Then in October 2017, Paul celebrated his 40th anniversary of being in business in Hanover and decided that we would we carry only jewelry made at Designer Gold.
It’s been a good year, this Back to Our Roots year. Our biggest challenge is to fill up our cases with Paul’s new work. He is so busy with custom-made pieces, pieces designed specifically with and for individual customers, that he doesn’t have a lot of time left over to create new pieces for the gallery.
We do have many excellent gift items, however: Paul’s mini-post earrings, wafer necklaces, birthstone earrings, and a few flower pendants on chains. In addition, two of our wonderful employees have taken on two of Paul’s earlier roles. Mandy fabricates pearl and semi-precious stud and dangle earrings. Lily strings pearls and semi-precious stone necklaces. And, of course, we have Dartmouth Lone Pine and D-Pine earrings and necklaces.
