Stringing Beads and Pearls

Sandy Bomhower is our bead and pearl stringing specialist. She has been doing this at Designer Gold for twenty years. You will be very pleased with her work.

People often ask us when they should have pearls or beads restrung. Sandy says to check the string and knots for signs of wear. If the string appears to be fraying, you should have the beads or pearls restrung. Here are two photographs of the same pearls before and after restringing:

These pearls need to be restrung. Notice the fraying around the knots particularly in the bottom right of the photograph.

Here are the same pearls after they have been restrung. The knots are tight and neat.
