Raised in Wilder, Vermont, Sandy started making jewelry in art classes at Hartford High School. Her design sense grew as she took jewelry courses at the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen and as she worked at Designer Gold with master designer Paul Gross.
Sandy Bomhower: Introduction

Sandy specializes in fabricating earrings and pendants with drusy, a mineral formation in which small crystals on the surface give the gems a glittery look. For her designs, she prefers to work with cabochons more than faceted stones, and she likes the Japanese flavor that many of her pieces have.
